The people behind Pocketchief

Michael Inbar

CEO & Founder

Michael founded Pocketchief to make financial clarity more practical for small business owners making real decisions under real constraints.

Background

Michael holds a dual degree in Economics and Accounting and began his career at the Israel Tax Authority, where he worked directly with financial reporting and tax analysis. He later joined HMS, a financial consulting firm, advising banking institutions and analyzing financial statements across a range of industries.

Before entering the finance field, Michael served in command and training roles, including leading a training unit in a foreign-army training project. That experience involved operational planning, procurement, budget responsibility, and coordination across internal and external stakeholders — adding a practical leadership layer to the way he thinks about business, execution, and decision-making.

At Pocketchief

Michael founded Pocketchief around a straightforward observation: small business owners are making critical financial decisions without the tools or clarity that larger companies take for granted. His background in taxation, financial analysis, and hands-on advisory work shapes every part of the product - from how data is structured to how insights are communicated. At Pocketchief, he leads overall strategy and product vision, with a clear focus on turning financial complexity into decisions that business owners can actually act on.
